What are you worth?

In these fast changing financial times one might try to answer the question "What are you worth?" by trying to evaluate their monetary value. The world has trained us to evaluate our worth and others worth according to what can be seen or maybe experienced. We place values on how much money we make, the kind of car we drive or house we live in. Sometimes we look at how an individual looks or sounds, do they dress the right way, talk the right way - the way we would. We accept them into our little world because they fit into what we call valuable. What about the individual that has a handicap or no ability to articulate their thoughts or feelings. What if you don't like their sense of humor? Sometimes we unknowingly place a lower value on them because they don't fit into our circle or our comfort zone. What does God say about all of this? What are you worth? He says you are bought with a price!! Wow! Really? How much? It cost Him His life!! Jesus said it's worth it for me to leave the throne of heaven, come to earth, suffer for them and die so that they might live!! Who? Everyone!! From the least to the greatest! Everyone that you know has been bought with a price. Even the people we may just tolerate. Maybe we need to think twice about their value. Maybe the next time we find ourselves in small talk with a stranger - at the gas pump, or in the grocery store line - we could let them know what they're worth. Maybe it's the very thing they needed to hear today!!

A New Addition

The Turk Family is privileged to have Amy's grandmother Helen Vaughn stay with them for a while. She has been a real blessing to our family for many many years and now it is our chance to give back to her just a little bit! We love you Grammy!!

A New Beginning

We decided to start a blogspot in order to stay in touch with our family and friends. Our objective is to keep you up to date with the latest things in our lives. This is a new thing for us and hope it will prove to be a format that can include some interaction on your part as well. Amy is signing off of facebook and prefers to use this blogspot as a new tool for two-way interaction. We'll see how it goes. As I find spare time I will begin to post more. We hope to hear from you soon! Thank you for looking!!
